Yosemite Falls Moon bow and Star Trails
This image was taken sometimes
ago in Yosemite National Park on a lonely night with only wild raccoons to keep
me awake. Scurrying noises in the dark tend to keep you on edge. Given that
there was no room for anyone to pass me on the trail even the presence of a
raccoon was unnerving as noises unleash one's imagination about what could be
in the dark. What really was happening in the dark though was this amazing
sight of a moon bow illuminated by moonlight. Human night vision doesn't let
one to see color that well so this only appeared vividly on my camera.

Brillant colours of nature
A lovely road is increasing the
beauty of natural beauty. Alongside the
road, beautiful Trees giving cool shadow as well. You're sure brave enough to
be in the middle of that road! Excellent angle and the afternoon light are
fantastic. Beautiful trunks including a beautiful day have a great job. I must
say this is another lovely capture with such wonderful trees, which is looking
so peaceful and tranquil. I love the dim light and and shadows drawn the
atmosphere.

Little Lake of Reflection
Lake Jasna is an attractive
alpine lake that covers a modest surface area of 5.4 acres. What it lacks in
size it makes up for in magnificent surroundings. Located in northwestern
Slovenia, Lake Jasna is 2 kilometers from the small town of Kranjska Gora which
is on the Sava Dolinka RIver in the Upper Carniola region of the country. Though
not seen in this picture, the lake is ‘guarded’ by a statue of a Zlatorog the
legendary chamois of Mount Triglav. The surrounding peaks are the Julian Alps,
a mountain range of the Southern Limestone Alps that stretches from
northeastern Italy to Slovenia, where they rise to 2,864 m at Mount Triglav,
the highest peak in Slovenia.

Stunning Electric-Blue Flames Erupt From Volcanoes
Paris based photographer Olivier Grunewald has been
documenting the Kawah Ijen volcano in Indonesia, where he observed dazzling electric
blue fire can often be seen streaming down the mountain at night. Blue glow is unusual
for a volcano on the island of Java. The blue glow is actually the light from
the combustion of sulfuric gases, and some gases condense into liquid sulfur,
which continues to burn as it flows down the slopes giving the feeling of lave
flowing. I have never seen this much sulfur flowing at a volcano. Blue volcanic
fire was described in antiquity in Italy on the south slope of Mount Vesuvius
and on the island of Vulcano.Blue flames may also be observed at the base of
the plume of erupting volcanoes, when ash explosions occur. I did not use any
filters to capture his images of the blue fire. The burning happens day and
night, but it's visible only in darkness.Source: Charismatic Planet
